The Book or Epistle to the Ephesians was written by the Apostle Paul to the Church at Ephesus (western Asia Minor in present-day Izmir Province, western Turkey on the Aegean Sea). The Church at Ephesus was one of the Seven Churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation. This is one of four "Prison Epistles" written by Paul in Rome, the other three being Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Ephesus was the commercial center of Asia Minor and was famous for the Temple of Diana-Artemis, one of seven wonders of the ancient world (Acts 19:35).
Ephesians 1 Spiritual Blessings
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Ephesians 2 Grace Through Faith
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 3 God's Plan and A Prayer
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Ephesians 4 Instructions for Life
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 5 Follow God and Family Instructions
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Ephesians 6 Children Obey Parents, Put on Armour of God
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
