Crocodile Intelligent Design

Crocodiles are the biggest reptiles on Earth today, and are major aggressive carnivorous predators with large, powerful jaws, sharp teeth and the strongest bite in the world of any animal, as measured in the laboratory. Their jaw-opening muscles are much weaker, however. Crocodiles are widespread and live in wetlands, freshwater rivers and lakes, some in saltwater. Crocodiles can weigh over 2,000 pounds for saltwater varietes and about 1,000 pounds for other varieties. Crocodile length averages 14-17 feet. They have good night vision, smell, hearing, a sophisticated heart, and have good homing abilities, returning from hundreds of miles home but scientists are not sure how they do it. Crocodiles cannot sweat and instead hold their mouths open to release heat. They are fast swimmers (22 mph) using their tail and webbed feet. They can run fast for short distances. They can go a year without eating, living off of stored food in their body. They have tough skin on their back that contains bony structures making their skin almost bulletproof, able to withstand javelins and arrows, while their skin is softer on the belly. The crocodile head and body is designed where its eyes and nose can stay above water while the rest of its body is underwater so that it can see, hear, smell, and breathe. This is intelligent design.

Crocodiles can theoretically live forever and continually grow as they age, but often die of disease, accidents, hunters, and starvation. As a crocodile grows, it needs more food and as it gets larger it is harder to find enough food to survive and starvation happens often. However, in 1957 a 28-foot crocodile was found in Australia. Crocodiles live around 70 years of age but in captivity have lived well over 100 years of age. Crocodiles are simply not known to die of old age. Other reptiles also have strong longevity, such as turtles and tortoises.

Evolutionists believe that crocodiles lived among the dinosaurs more than 65 million years ago and up to 200 million years ago with roughly similar anatomy to today's representatives. However, somehow according to the evolutionists, the dinosaurs were destroyed by a meteorite impact and somehow crocodiles survived. Evolutionists also claim that the crocodile's ancestors once walked on two feet, but this would be impossible with its short legs and long, thick tail. How could an animal change its morphology so much and then stay relatively unchanged for 200 million years? A time frame of 65 million years or 200 million years is a long time for an animal not to change its morphology in the fossil record. A time frame of 6,000 years from a special creation would make much more sense.

Baby crocodiles inside eggs buried under sand can make noises that alert the mother of imminent hatching. The mother croc will then dig up the eggs, take care of them until they hatch, and until they can make it on their own. The mother carries the babies in her mouth to the water without harming them. Crocodile infant mortality is very high, as 90 to 99 percent of crocodile eggs don't make it as a result of predators. So how can evolutionists explain how the crocodile has survived for supposedly 200 million years with such a high mortality rate? How does the mother's ability to hear her babies inside her eggs under the sand evolve over millions of years to allow reproduction of future generations?
