Dinosaur Footprints and Tracks Give Evidence for a Young Earth Origin Timeline
by Owen Borville
Evolutionists have said that finding dinosaur footprints along with human footprints would shatter the mainstream science philosophy of evolution and long ages in the millions of years. The truth is that dinosaur footprints have been found in locations around the world, including unconfirmed reports of human tracks alongside the dinosaur tracks. In addition, dinosaur footprints and tracks have been found with tracks from other animal species that should have evolved millions of years later after the extinction of dinosaurs in the standard evolutionary model. However, these discoveries have been ignored by the media and mainstream science in order to preserve their "non-negotiable" theory of evolution. The existence of dinosaur footprints gives strong evidence for a young timeline since footprints preserved in soft sediment must occur and harden quickly or they will be exposed to the elements of weathering and erosion. To have footprints exposed in sediment suggests that formation of the footprints or tracks occurred quickly and not millions of years ago. Evidence shows that these footprints and tracks formed under catastrophic conditions, such as those during a global flood.
The tracks and footprints could have been produced from dinosaurs escaping the floodwaters. Most of the dinosaur footprints and individual tracks observed are in straight lines going in the same direction, which gives greater evidence of escape from a catastrophic event. In addition, observers note the lack of young dinosaur footprints, which suggests the young dinosaurs were less capable of escape during a catastrophic event and that the footprints were not made during normal circumstances. Dinosaur tracks have been found only on flat sediment surfaces, which gives greater evidence of high sedimentation rates during a catastrophic flooding event. There is also evidence that the flood water level during the year-long flooding event rose and fell multiple times, enabling multiple layers of sediment to be deposited and dinosaur tracks to form on multiple layers. The rise and fall of floodwaters complies with the flood model as the Genesis Flood was a complex, catastrophic event and was not just a single gentle rise and fall of water level uniform across the entire earth. Because of the topography of the earth and as the flood waters rose, there would have been temporary flooding events in certain areas that would subside before being flooded again. Local floods would appear in certain locations around the earth and deposit the initial sediment layers and dinosaur tracks, dry out, and become submerged again. This process would continue several times until the earth was completely covered by the floodwaters.
