Science, Nature
The electromagnetic spectrum is the range of electromagnetic radiation available. Radiation is energy that spreads outward.
Visible light is one type of electromagnetic radiation. Other types of radiation from low energy to high energy include: radio, microwave, infrared light, ultraviolet light, X-rays and gamma-rays.
Lowest Energy-Longest Wavelength (At Top)
Radio
Microwave
Infrared
Visible Light
Ultraviolet
X-rays
Gamma-rays
Highest Energy-Shortest Wavelength (At Bottom)
Because electromagnetic radiation continues infinitely and outward at different wavelengths and energy, in other words, different scales, this radiation can be considered fractal in nature.
