The First Civilizations After the Flood

Archaeology, History, Bible

The first civilizations on Earth emerged from Adam and his descendants after 4004 B.C. After the Flood centuries later, (2350 B.C.), Noah's descendants were divided according to his three sons. Genesis 10 and the Table of Nations lists these descendants.

From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood. Genesis 10:32.

The first nations and civilizations to emerge after the Flood were along the Tigris and Euphrates River, located at present-day Iraq. Civilizations also emerged along the Indus River Valley in western India, northeast China, and the Nile Valley in Egypt. Ancient civilizations also emerged in Peru and Meso-America. These six civilizations were extremely advanced and produced the first writing systems on Earth at approximately. Creationists believe that the proposed dates of these civilizations by mainstream academics are in error and all of these advanced civilizations developed within the last 5,000 years or 3,000 B.C. immediately after the Global Flood of the Book of Genesis and the Tower of Babel language confusion incident.

All humans on Earth were living in the Ararat region of Eastern Turkey during the Tower of Babel incident and spoke the same language. As the languages were confused, the people spread out around the Earth according to their language group. These language groups are still in existence today and are a testament to the Creation Model. In addition to advanced writing systems, these six ancient advanced civilizations developed agriculture, science, mathematics, architecture, and many facets of an advanced civilization within a short period after the Flood and approximately the same time in different parts of the world. In other words, these six advanced civilizations were developing world's first writing systems, agriculture, science, engineering, and technology at approximately the same time but in different locations in the world.

As people spread out from Babel, some humans chose to live in rural or isolated places, just as they do today. The six advanced civilizations were like New York, London, Tokyo and the largest cities in the world today. Some people prefer to live in isolated and rural places. These people, known as cavemen and nomads, lived in ancient times and the still live today. Cavemen and nomads did not "evolve" into modern citizens, but rather some have always preferred to live in isolation. Both advanced civilizations, cavemen, and nomads existed concurrently or at the same time in the ancient world. Ancient civilizations developed along rivers because these waters provided a place to hunt and fish while the waters of the rivers would flood the surrounding plains, which produced fertile soil for agriculture.

Mesopotamia

Mesopotamia is considered the oldest advanced civilization on Earth and developed along the southern banks of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. As these two rivers flow down from Eastern Turkey and the historical Ararat region, descendants from the Flood and Tower of Babel developed civilization along these two rivers, which featured some of the most fertile soils on Earth. Mesopotamia is part of the Fertile Crescent, a region named for a crescent shaped area extending from the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers westward above the Syrian Desert and Arabian Peninsula toward the Mediterranean Sea coast and ancient Palestine region. This westward wing of the Fertile Crescent would become the ancestors of the Israelite peoples while the eastern end of the crescent extended to ancient Elam, the ancestors of the Persian Empire in the Zagros Mountains of southwest Iran.

Egypt

The advanced civilization of ancient Egypt developed along the Nile River Valley in the northeast African continent and was one of the first civilizations to invent a developed writing system. In addition, ancient Egyptians were scientists and mathematicians, along with architects. The large pyramids of Egypt are the most recognizable symbol of ancient Egypt.  The ancient Egyptians were also one of the first civilizations to invent agriculture, which they did along the Nile River Valley and this enabled the civilization to prosper. The Egyptians were also strong in art, literature, medicine, and engineering, Ancient Egyptian history lasted from just after the time of the Flood, some 5,000 years ago, to 332 B.C., when Greek forces invaded Egypt. Romans would invade Egypt in 30 B.C.

Gobekli Tepe

The discovery of Gobekli Tepe in Asia Minor is rewriting the history books. This discovery of an obviously advanced civilization contradicts mainstream archaeology timelines for civilization development. The dates that are being assigned to this civilization are well before any of the observable artifacts could have been developed according to mainstream archaeologists. Ancient Turkey must have hosted some of the earliest groups of humans that spread from the Tower of Babel incident. Some went southward toward Mesopotamia but some went westward toward Europe. The Minoans likely descended from inhabitants of Ancient Turkey.

Minoans of Crete: Europe

The first well-known literate advanced civilization in Europe was that of the Minoans, which was located on the island of Crete in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and is today part of the nation of Greece. The Minoan civilization developed as people were spreading out after the Tower of Babel Incident. Archaeologists cite the beginning of the Minoan Civilization at 2700 B.C. and ending at 1450 B.C. If these dates are accurate, then the Minoan civilization would have been one of the first civilizations to develop along with Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus Valley. Scholars describe the Minoans having the first advanced civilization in Europe. Evidence of their advanced civilization is found in their architectural ruins, tools, artwork, writing systems, and their trading industry. The Minoans build extravagant palaces with advanced plumbing systems, the most notable of which was found at Knossos. The Minoans were known for trading with other Mediterranean region nations and their artwork and crafts have been found in Israel and Egypt. This trade made the Minoans wealthy as the Minoans were able to build ships that could reach Mesopotamia and Egypt. The Minoan Civilization mysteriously ended in 1450 B.C. while possible causes include earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions.

Indus River Valley (Harappan Civilization)

The Indus River Valley Civilization, also known as the Harappan Civilization, was an advanced ancient civilization that was located at modern day Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan on the fertile floodplain of the Indus River. Its main cities were Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro, which were known for engineering, particularly planned cities and their well-designed layout that rivaled modern cities. These cities had plumbing and drainage systems, including indoor toilets. The Harappans also had a written language, the Indus script, which has mostly not been translated. The Harappans were known to be strong with astronomy. The Harappan Civilization is believed to have lasted for at least 1,600 years. The Harappans developed one of the first units of weights and measurements that coincided with their strength in engineering. Evidence also indicates that the Harappans had knowledge of dentistry, metallurgy, agriculture, arts and crafts,  The Harappans had no evidence of military presence, indicating that this civilization was peaceful. Evidence also exists that the Harappans were egalitarian, in that most of the people were of the same stature and there was not evidence of large wealth inequality among residents. The Harappan Civilization ended in the second century B.C. but the reason is unknown. Although an advanced civilization, little is known about the system of government or who were the authority governing officials in the civilization. Another mystery of the Harappans is the lack of temples, monuments, or palaces. Therefore, we know little of the politics and religion within the Harappan Civilization. There must have been some form of politics to build such an advanced civilization but little information exists and the written language has not been translated.

Ancient China

Ancient China developed along the Yellow and Yangtze River valleys and agriculture was established. The Xia Dynasty was the first of a long succession of dynasties in Chinese history. Some dispute the Xia being the first dynasty and some believe that these are the remains of an earlier pre-Chinese civilization. Agriculture was the largest institution in ancient China and flooding was a major issue and many attempts were made to control flooding along the river valleys. Writing systems, artwork, metallurgy, and many inventions were made by the ancient Chinese.

Ancient Peru

Although evolutionists use their faulty dating methods to claim that Peru was inhabited 11,000 years ago, the first major civilizations began about 4,000 years ago, which is compatible with the Flood and Tower of Babel timeline along with the other ancient advanced cultures of Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China and Minoan cultures. The first known city in the Americas was Caral, which is believed to originate around 2,500 B.C. and was part of the Norte Chico culture. The inhabitants of Caral built large pyramids and plazas at the same time as the Egyptian dynasty and built a large urban center 4,000 to 5,000 years ago. Caral is definitely one of the oldest cities in the world.

Ancient Mesoamerica

Archaeologists believe the first ancient cultures in Mesoamerica began about 3,000 years ago, or about 1,000 B.C. this was well after the ancient cultures of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus, China, and the Minoan cultures developed. This timeline fits in with the reality that Noah's descendants spread out from the Tower of Babel throughout Asia, Africa, and Europe. Those travelling to the Americas through the Russia-Alaska boundary would have taken longer and would have began later. Or if some came by way of the Pacific Ocean, this timeline would have been later also. While Asia, Africa, and Europe were the Old World continents that humans spread into, the Americas were the New World, or the last frontier of exploration in the world. These first civilizations in Mesoamerica include the Olmecs, the Mayans, and the Aztecs.
