The hoatzin bird has a unique digestive system that evolutionist minded scientists have difficulty classifying.
This medium sized, colorful bird native of the South American Amazon is the only known bird to have a digestive system that ferments vegetation with bacteria as a cow does.
This unique ability enables the hoatzin to be a plant eater, which is unusual among birds. The hoatzin commonly eats leaves from trees in the jungles and swamps.
Other unique facts about the hoatzin is its unpleasant smell, its awkward movement on the ground, and its noisy habit produces a variety of vocalizations.
Its smell is directly caused by its unique digestion process.
In addition, the young hoatzin has claws on its wings that eventually disappear as the bird becomes older.
The hoatzin is just another animal with many features that do not fit along an evolutionary line and point toward a unique creation.
Although evolutionists will commonly attempt to link the hoatzin to the reptiles and dinosaurs, the unique features of this animal suggest that it was always in the bird family.
