Bible

The many messianic references in the Book of Isaiah, written between 740 to 686 B.C., give strong evidence and confirmation of the Christian faith. Dozens of verses in the Book of Isaiah mention or give reference to the future birth, mission, and life of Jesus Christ more than 700 years before the birth of Christ.

The Dead Sea Scrolls also provided the oldest known copy of the Book of Isaiah (150 to 100 B.C.), the text of which is also very similar to the Masoretic text, the authoritative Hebrew and Aramaic text of the 24 books of Tanakh for Rabbinic Judaism, giving strong evidence of its accuracy.

Isaiah 1 A Rebellious Nation
Isaiah 2 The Mountain of the Lord, the Day of the Lord

Isaiah 3 Judgement on Jerusalem and Judah

In Isaiah 4:2, The Branch of the Lord is described: In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel: 3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. 5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. 6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. Isaiah 4:2-6.

Isaiah 4 The Branch of the Lord
Isaiah 5 The Song of the Vineyard

Isaiah Sees the Lord (Isaiah 6) In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
In Verse 6:9, the reference to Jesus "You hear but do not understand." is mentioned in Matthew 13:13.

Isaiah 6: Isaiah's Commission

The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ is foretold in Isaiah 7:14, which describes a virgin conceiving a son, a very unique event that was a very important sign of the new Messiah. Immanuel means "God with us" and has commonly been used to refer to the Messiah. (Matthew 1:18-23).

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14.

Isaiah 9:7 says "
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this."
