The Possibility of Life on Mars is Very Slim

Evolutionists have hypothesized the idea of life on Mars, the fourth planet from the sun, for many years. This idea comes from the belief that life could evolve or form anywhere if the conditions were right, according to the evolutionist doctrine. Recently scientists have been looking for the evidence for life on Mars, which is the second smallest planet in the solar system after Mercury. In addition to a thin atmosphere, Mars has impact craters on its surface in addition to valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps. Mars also has seasons and Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the system along with Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in the solar system. The Borealis Basin covers 40 percent of the planet and Mars has two small, irregularly shaped moons. Mars has large amounts of ice, particularly at the north and south poles, and scientists believe that these ice caps are water-based. The south polar ice cap could cover the entire planetary surface for 11 meters if it could melt into liquid form. (1) Large amounts of underground ice have been detected in other parts of the planet in addition to water vapor in the atmosphere. However, liquid water cannot exist on Mars because of its low atmospheric pressure. Despite the ice caps, Mars today is very dry and has large dust storms but evolutionists believe that

Mars once had much liquid flowing water on its surface and could have been flooded with water. Gullies, layered deposits, and shorelines have been observed on Mars along with evidence for water geysers. However, current atmospheric conditions on Mars do not allow for surface water in liquid form-only ice or vapor. As soon is ice is melted by volcanic material it is vaporized into the atmosphere. Therefore, the lack of liquid water on Mars makes life on this planet impossible despite the promotion of this possibility by evolutionists. Creationists also explain that the ingredients for life include more than liquid water and the possibility of former liquid water on Mars would not prove that life existed on Mars. The proper atmosphere, temperature, and pressure on a planet are necessary for life, in addition to enough sunlight. Therefore, the origin of life is not simply a natural phenomena as the evolutionists propose. The origin of life is a complex phenomena that moves beyond current chemical and physical conditions of a particular place and into the realm of the supernatural. In other words, the conditions for life are extremely complex and the chances that these conditions appear on other planets are extremely low. Creationists believe in the special creation described in the Book of Genesis and the conditions on Earth that allow for life are extremely unique and are very unlikely to exist on another planet. In addition, Biblical creationists believe that God is the author of life and that even if the right conditions for life existed on other planets the creation of life only comes from God and not from random, gradual, and natural processes as the evolutionists believe.

Evolutionists believe that Mars was at one time flooded with water but some catastrophic event, such as an impact dramatically altered the atmosphere on the planet. If evolutionists believe that an extremely dry planet like Mars was flooded with water at one time, why don't they believe that Earth, which is covered 75 percent with water, could have been flooded with water at one point in time?
