Planet and moon rotations and orbits

Planet and Moon Rotations and Orbits Fractal Nature

Science

Planets and moons periodically rotate on their axis and also orbit around a larger and more massive planetary body with a larger gravitational field.

These rotation rates and orbital periods vary among each planetary body.

The fact that all planetary bodies orbit around a more massive body and most rotate on their axis gives evidence of fractal nature.

Some planetary orbits increase in size over time and can have a fractal element to the increase in orbital size, or recession rate.

Isaac Newton also recognized that planets have revolving eliptical orbits, mostly because of the sun's gravitation, as part of his published Laws of Gravity.

Planets also have prograde or retrograde motion in their rotations or orbits.
