Saturn and Creation

Saturn is a unique planet that proclaims a unique creation, and is known for its ring system that is the most visible  and developed in the solar system.

DISCOVERY Saturn was discovered through telescope by Galileo Galilei in 1610, but many ancient astronomers had seen Saturn in the night sky, as it is visible with the naked eye. Galileo also observed Saturn as an oval shape, but later astronomers would recognize and discover Saturn's rings with stronger telescopes, along with the other moons. Christopher Huygens later discovered Saturn's largest moon Titan.

SATURN'S RING SYSTEM Saturn's ring system is so unique that it is called "stunning," "beautiful," and the "Jewel of the Solar System." Creationists also believe that Saturn's ring system proclaims its youth within 6,000 years, and that its rings could not exist and would have disappeared within the proposed mainstream time frame of 4.5 billion years. Scientists have identified seven groups of ring systems around Saturn that orbit at different speeds. The rings are made up of many particles as small as sand grains and as large as cars or mountains. Saturn's ring system is very wide and very thin, 273,000 kilometers wide and only about one to three kilometers thick. Saturn's ring system was discovered by Christopher Huygens in 1659. Giovanni Cassini would later discover in 1675 that the rings were not unified as one but separated. Even secular mainstream scientists believe that the rings will be gone within 100 million years, therefore how could they have been in existence for 4.5 billion years? A much younger timeline within 6,000 years helps to explain Saturn's history. Saturn has more than 30 rings observed. These ring particles should have been absorbed by Saturn or one of its moons within a mainstream timeline of 4.5 billion years. Scientists currently observe that Saturn's rings are being pulled inward by gravity toward the center at a fast rate and are disappearing. Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune also have rings but these are much thinner and less developed.

SIZE Saturn is also a very large gas planet, the second largest planet in the solar system behind Jupiter and one of the Jovian planets. Saturn extends its diameter 120,000 kilometers wide at its equator, about nine times Earth's diameter between the surface, not including the rings.

COMPOSITION Saturn is composed of mainly hydrogen and helium gases (75/25 ratio), which are the two lightest chemical elements in the solar system and the fundamental building blocks of both the sun and the gas-based planets. Other trace substances in Saturn in include ammonia, methane, and water in frozen particle form. Saturn's composition is similar to Jupiter, including the fluid liquid metallic hydrogen at high pressure in the interior. Saturn's core is composed of iron, nickel, and silicon-oxygen rock, surrounded by a layer of metallic hydrogen, which is in turn surrounded by a layer of liquid hydrogen and helium, while its outer atmospheric layers are gaseous. The metallic core of Saturn helps create its magnetic field and gravitational attraction that causes particles to orbit around the planet. Saturn is yellow-brown in color which is caused by the composition of the planet.

MAGNETIC FIELD Saturn's magnetic field is created internally from its fluid metallic layer that generates an electric current. The outer magnetosphere is formed by solar winds coming in contact with Saturn's magnetic field. Saturn's rotational axis and magnetic dipole axis nearly line up within one degree, which is unique and a source of mystery, as current mainstream theories cannot explain this axis alignment. Saturn has the second strongest magnetic field (578 times Earth) in the solar system after Jupiter.

AXIS AND SEASONS Saturn rotates on its axis at 26.7 degrees, allowing for seasons like Earth. Strong winds on Saturn reach speeds of 1,800 kilometers per hour, which is more than five times the strongest winds recorded on Earth.

SHIELD Saturn, along with Jupiter is believed to shield astronomical objects like asteroids and comets from hitting the Earth, either by absorbing them with their large magnetic fields or by deflecting them away from reaching the Earth. Some of these objects do reach the Earth, many of which burn up in the Earth's atmosphere.

MOONS Saturn has 82 moons, the largest of which is Titan. Saturn has more moons than any other planet. Rhea, Iapetus, Dione, and Enceladus are other moons of Saturn.

ROTATION Like Jupiter, Saturn also rotates quickly so that its equator bulges outward and poles are flat, while rotating faster than any other planet than Jupiter. Saturn rotates fully within 10 hours and 42 minutes. Saturn orbits the sun once every 29.4 years.

MASS AND DENSITY Saturn's mass is equal to 95 Earths, but it is the least dense planet in the solar system. Saturn's density is so small that it could float in water, and this fact is one of the mysteries of Saturn.

HEAT Saturn and Jupiter produce as much as twice as much energy as they receive from the sun. Mainstream scientists have difficulty explaining how these planets that are so far from the sun produce so much energy for so long during the proposed time frame of 4.5 billion years. A shorter time frame of 6,000 years would solve this issue.

VISIBILITY Saturn is also one of five planets that can be seen with the naked eye from Earth, along with Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter. Saturn is the most distant planet that can be seen with the naked eye and the most distant to have been observed by humans without a telescope.

SPACECRAFT Only four spacecraft have visited Saturn. In 2004, Cassini became the first spacecraft to orbit Saturn.
