Support life not abortion
As Americans continue to discuss the abortion debate, the key for Christians and people of faith should be a spiritual transformation. Instead of supporting bans on abortion that Christians commonly advocate, maybe the best strategy should be conversion. In other words, let's convert the people to the Christian faith and then maybe women would have fewer abortions and the abortion clinics would go out of business. Attempting to make Christianity the official state religion and requiring everyone to attend Church services on Sunday would not be a good idea. Jesus never forced anyone to believe. The best strategy for the abortion issue for people of faith is conversion to the Christian faith. Once people convert to the Christian faith and recognize that God is the Creator, that all life comes from God, and no one has the right to take a life, support for abortion will dramatically decrease and abortion clinics will close down. No one can stop someone from killing their child if that is what they intend to do. Just consider the multiple reports of "hot car deaths" of children. That individual or parent will be responsible for the death of that child and that individual must face God's judgement. Maybe this is why abortion advocates associate with the non-religious and non-Christian groups while the secular media industry overwhelmingly supports abortion rights. Abortion advocates know that if Americans become more "Christian," support for abortion will decrease and demand for abortion services will also decrease. Technology is also helping the Pro-Life cause, as ultrasound technology allows women to see their baby in the womb. Abortion really is a moral issue. However, it is difficult to understand how anyone could support such a barbaric procedure, regardless of their religious beliefs. Banning abortion is not going to solve the issue if people's hearts are in the wrong place. The gradual secularization and drift away from Christianity and moral values in America and the world has played the most important role in gaining support for abortion. The creation science movement in America and the world also plays a large role in the issue, as support for creation science increases faith in God and the Bible and therefore reduces the support for things such as abortion. Darwinian evolution has dramatically increased the occurrence of atheism and secularism in the world an likewise has led to the support of things like abortion. Supporters of abortion often use political and economic arguments, such as the poverty of single mothers and the lack of ability to support a child. However, following God's advice leads to proper family planning and support for marriage before childbearing. When people follow God's advice and His commandments, unplanned pregnancies are greatly reduced. Abortion is a grave reminder of the barbaric practices of ancient pagan cultures such as the Romans and has no place in a modern culture that claims to be a Christian nation.
