Symbiotic Relationships Point Toward Creation and Not Evolution

Certain animal species depend on other living species for their existence, as one could not have evolved millions of years before the other. This is further evidence of the young earth, particularly that all or most species were created at the same time during creation week as described in the Book of Genesis  in order to allow the symbiotic relationship to occur. This symbiotic relationship can be demonstrated during pollination, or when pollen grains are transferred between the male and female parts of a flowering plant. Seeds can only be produced when pollen is transferred between flowers of the same species. So how is pollen transferred between flowers? Pollen is transferred through pollinators, which include insects, birds, butterflies in addition to wind and water. The hummingbird is known as a pollinator and is part of a symbiotic relationship where both parties benefit-the hummingbird gets nectar while the flower gets pollinated.

Evolutionists believe that this symbiotic relationship evolved over millions of years, however evolutionists can't explain how the first hummingbird evolved. Somehow, the evolutionists "know" that hummingbirds evolved 30 to 35 million years ago, they just cannot explain how. Creationists, however, believe that seed-bearing plants were created on Day 3 of the Creation Week while birds were created on Day 5. The bee and flower relationship is another similar symbiotic relationship. The bee gets to eat nectar and as the bee travels from one flower to another, pollen is transferred from one flowering plant species to another flowering plant of the same species, therefore pollinating the flowering plant.

Another example of symbiotic relationships is the oxpecker bird and the rhino, where the oxpecker lives on the rhino and eats bugs and parasites off the rhino. The oxpecker gets food, while the rhino benefits by having bugs and parasites removed from its body. This relationship could not develop if one "evolved" millions of years before the other. As birds and rhinos were created on Day 5 and Day 6 of Creation Week respectively, according to the creationist model, we see another unique mutual symbiotic relationship where both sides benefit. This better fits the creationist model where living species were created to depend on each other, rather than evolve randomly millions of years apart.

Another great example of a symbiotic relationship includes leaf cutter ants and fungus. The ants create fungus using leaves or their own fecal matter and as the fungus grows, the ants eat the fungus for food. The ant creates the fungus and helps the fungus grow while the ant eats the fungus for food. Having millions of years between species just does not make logical sense and these mutual symbiotic relationships are better explained inside creationist model and time frame.

Humans and plants have a mutually symbiotic relationship where humans and animals need the oxygen produced by plants while plants need the carbon dioxide produced by humans and animals. Therefore plants could not have existed millions of years before humans or vice-versa and both must have appeared on Earth at approximately the same time-just as the creationist model explains.

The concept of symbiosis presents a great problem for evolutionists. Just a few of the many symbiotic relationships in nature have been described here, as there are many more. The evolutionists have trouble describing how these symbiotic relationships could have developed over millions of years between two completely different types of living things. However, creationists know that life on Earth and the many symbiotic relationships are the product of God's unique design.
