Invertebrate vs Vertebrate

Invertebrates Versus Vertebrates and the Origin of the Vertebrae

The origin of the vertebrae is one of the most important topics in biology and science. How did the vertebrae in animals originate? Only through a special creation could vertebrae originate. The mainstream evolutionist explanation claims that vertebrates somehow evolved over millions of years. However, the vertebrae is crucial to the existence of the animals that have vertebrae. Vertebrate animals simply could not function or move without vertebrae.

The vertebrae protect and support the spinal chord, in addition to providing structural support for the body. The Chordate family contains all animals with a spinal chord, including vertebrates and animals with a notochord. The notochord is seen as a primitive ancestor of the vertebrate, but creationists explain that each animal is given what it needs to survive in its environment. Not all animals need vertebrae. Vertebrate animals tend to be larger and need stronger support for movement.

Invertebrate Animals include:

Worms (segmented, round, flat), Arthropods (insects, centipedes, millipedes, crabs, lobsters, shrimp, spiders, scorpions, barnacles), Sponges, Echinoderms (starfish, sea urchin), Corals, Jellyfish, Anemones, Mollusks (snails, slugs, clams, oysters, octopus, and squid).

Vertebrate Animals include:

Jawless fish (lampreys and hagfish), Bony and Cartilaginous Fishes, Aquatic and Marine Vertebrates, Amphibians, Reptiles and Dinosaurs, Birds (flightless and flying birds), Mammals (land and marine mammals)

Supposedly the invertebrate animals are older, more primitive, and less evolved than the vertebrate animals and invertebrate animals slowly evolved into vertebrate animals over long periods of time according to the evolutionist model.

However, each invertebrate and vertebrae is unique and different and an evolutionary line or tree simply cannot describe the origin of these animals.

Vertebrate animals have bilateral symmetry where the animal's anatomy can be divided into two equal halves in relation to its vertebrae or spine. Many invertebrate animals do not have this symmetry and changing or evolving from non-symmetrical to symmetrical is difficult to explain.

Some invertebrates do have bilateral symmetry, such as arthropods. The best explanation of origin is simply that each animal is a unique creation and not a product of gradual evolution from one form to another form along an ancestral line of evolution.

The vertebrae is found in the fossil record without a trace of evolution or transition of development, however evolutionists insist that the vertebrae somehow evolved over millions of years.

The Cambrian Explosion of Life refers to the abundant and diverse life forms that appear suddenly in the fossil record, in the Cambrian geologic rock layer, both invertebrate and vertebrate animals.

The Creationist Model describes all animals appearing suddenly in the fossil record, a record that records the events of a global flood occurring some 4,300 years ago.
